CEO and CFO

Charles W. Shaver
Chief Executive Officer Charlie joined Nouryon in October 2018 from Axalta, where he served six years as CEO and remains Chairman of the Board. He has more than 35 years of experience in leadership roles in the global chemical and oil and gas industries. His prior roles have included CEO and President of the TPC Group; Vice President and General Manager for General Chemical; and Vice President and General Manager for Arch Chemicals. He started his career at the Dow Chemical Company. He has held leadership roles in industry organizations including the American Chemistry Council and the American Coatings Association. He also has served as an Operating Partner of Golden Gate Capital and The Carlyle Group. He is also Chairman of the Board of U.S. Silica and a Member of the Board of Atotech. A US national, he has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Renier Vree
Chief Financial Officer Renier joined the company in March 2018 from Arcadis, where he was CFO and member of the board of management; he also served as interim CEO from October 2016 until April 2017. His responsibilities include overseeing the Finance and Information Management functions. He started his career at Philips N.V. in 1987, and held various management and finance positions there, including CFO and Executive Vice President at Philips Lighting. A Dutch national, he obtained a chartered controller degree at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and a degree in quantitative business economics at the University of Rotterdam

Jaap de Keijzer
Legal Jaap joined the company in 2018 from law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, where he was a partner in the regulatory practice and a former managing partner of the firm. He is responsible for the legal function, including compliance, intellectual property and legacy asset management. A Dutch national, he holds master degrees in both law and geology and an MBA.
