Richard Elder

Chief Transformation Officer


Richard is responsible for helping develop and integrate Nouryon’s global transformation program, with a particular focus on strategy, growth, M&A and Commercial Excellence. In addition, he will help lead the implementation of the company’s new organizational model, driving key integration activities of the business teams and key functions.

Richard brings extensive experience in transformation processes and strategy development to Nouryon. He joined the company from McKinsey where he was a senior partner in their Washington, DC office, and a leader in their Transformation and Organization practices.

In the senior roles he held, Richard has used his extensive private- and public-sector experience to help global industrial, manufacturing, and aerospace and defence organizations to develop new strategies and implement large-scale transformations.

A US national, Richard started his career as an officer for the US Air Force.

He holds a BS in mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA with honors from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
