Delamine B.V. is a globally operating chemical company head-quartered in Amersfoort in the Netherlands. It produces and markets Ethyleneamines which are used to manufacture a wide range of products such as washing detergents, paper chemicals, coatings, oil drilling chemicals, pharmaceuticals and many others. In Amersfoort general management, accounting, marketing and sales are located. Delamine has a manufacturing facility in the north of the Netherlands, in Delfzijl. Founded in 1976, Delamine B.V. is a joint venture between Nouryon and Tosoh.

Sales Manager Delamine

The role
This is an exciting international role with substantial responsibility for the execution of Delamine's long- and short-term marketing and sales objectives. You report to the Director Marketing and Sales.
You will be joining a multinational and multicultural company that is committed to your personal and professional development.

Key responsibilities and deliverables
Within this context you are key to the definition and execution of sales and development strategies. In this role you are responsible for sales plans and volumes, quotations and long-term relations for your specific area/accounts. This requires frequent visits to (potential) customers, sometimes with the Director Marketing and Sales and/or Agents and/or distributors in Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Ireland and Eastern Europe.
Further accountabilities include monthly reporting, representing Delamine at Chemical fairs and exhibitions, monitoring customer payments, and the commercial handling and settlement of complaints. In addition, you will assist the Director Marketing and Sales in market analysis as required.
At all times you remain up-to-date with all market information and developments. You initiate technical support to customers and form part of the Delamine IT Team for Sales and Marketing.
Next to the above, you are responsible for supervising a local Chinese Sales Manager. Together you will further develop and execute Delamine’s business development plan in China. For this activity you will travel to China 2 times a year.

Job Requirements

Candidate profile
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
• Bachelor or Master Level in Chemical Engineering or Business Administration/ Economics.
• With this will come three to five years of commercial experience in a Business to Business environment, preferably the Chemical industry.
• You are customer focused and results oriented - a flexible team player with good social skills
• Excellent written and spoken English and preferably Dutch or German.
