Account Manager, Personal Care

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage and transfer relationships from previous experience at J&J, Revlon, Colgate, L’Oréal, and regional contract manufacturers
•Develops and executes business plans, strategies, action plans, milestones and budgets within the framework of the Global Surface Chemistry and Commercial Excellence strategy.
•Analyses and interprets the market dynamics and the position of these product groups for the Personal Care applications market segment in the Americas region.
•Ensures development of marketing/sales plans, targets are met and new business opportunities are identified and pursued. Supervises the execution and takes corrective actions as needed.
•Gives fundamental input to the global co-ordination teams for the segment.
•Within the approved marketing strategy for the assigned segment ensures that;
customer base is segmented:
o the appropriate level of service is defined and maintained per customer segment
o an optimal, competitive product range is maintained & pruned on an on-going basis
o adequate pricing and terms are established
o operating working capital is optimized
o R&D projects initiated, monitored
•Supports the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care and implements the Management Practices.
•Maintains effective management systems and programs in line with overall Company goals and policies.
•Represents the BU both inside and outside Nouryon. Builds and maintains a network of business contacts in support of organizational objective.
•Communicates and promotes Business Ethics principles in general and from Nouryon in particular. Ensures that Business Ethics principles are central to the business processes used in the department.
•Responsible for the leadership and career development of the personnel defined in attached organizational chart. For indirect reports coordinates with the appropriate Managers.
