The millwright mechanic performs various tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Planner which may include equipment repair and calibrations which support plant operations.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Completes repairs of critical equipment in various areas of the plant through the use of the work order system as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, including Furnaces, Reactors, Boilers and High Pressure Vessels, Centrifuges, Gear Boxes, Transport Screws, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, Hazardous Materials Piping.
Performs pump repair and alignment to established standards.
Utilizes both dial and laser alignment tools.
Performs work on high speed rotating equipment, such as Turbines, Pumps and Blowers.
Operates standard general maintenance equipment and tools, such as Drill press, Portable drill, Torque wrench, Hand tools, etc.
Responsible for rigging and operation of crane. Requires CIC operator certification up to 75 Ton (includes test).
Performs other maintenance mechanic duties as assigned.
Participates in the development of the Annual Operating Plan and completes improvement projects on the plan.
