Responsibility
Key responsibilities:
-Responsible for procurement activities related to raw materials tail spend in APAC
-Ensure that raw material tail spend in APAC is regularly tendered to the market.
-Maintain data and systems needed to formulate RFQs and to process resulting supplier bids for large numbers of materials
-Act as key user of the digital platform used for tail RFQs
-In coordination with the global tail team and BUs, award business in pursuit of Nouryon goals of spend and complexity reduction in the RM tail
Main activities include:
• Map spend cube and review materials that fall into “tail” spend scope (e.g., bottom 25% of PR spend)
• Align with BU Procurement to confirm whether a specific item can be treated as tail (or not)
• Drive tail supplier search in APAC
• Ensure continuous update of APAC suppliers and distributors contact lists (e.g.,: sales representatives, email, phone number, etc…)
• Monitor specification database and support collection of specifications where not available
• Manage RfI and RfQ activities through dedicated eProcurement tool
• Set up and run RfI and RfQ waves and align with BU Procurement and Tail Team
• Prepare supplier communications and support suppliers during execution of RfX events
• Run scenario analysis to find most suitable solution for Nouryon
• Run basic negotiations and price alignment at the end of RfQ phase
• Prepare awarding overview to present to BU Procurement and Tail Team
• Prepare potential alternatives to BUs in case of potential alternative material / supplier award
• Track business award and follow up on data request
