Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job

•    Lead and support on a continuous change agenda advising on people decisions to drive effectiveness. Provide HR expertise to the sites and execute on business strategy 
•    Implement labor relations programs to oversee compliance with the union's negotiated contract
•    Partner with the Regional Organization, Centers of Expertise and Service Providers to ensure effective and efficient delivery of HR services to the Sites
•    Acts as an advisor to management to ensure facilities are in compliance with all Human Resources, Business Ethics, Local, State, Federal Regulations  



•    Acts as strategic HR Partner to multiple manufacturing site populations including Union and non-Union sites
•    Oversee the management of regional labor relations for the business, managing grievance procedures and advising teams to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreements
•    Coach and collaborate with manufacturing and union leadership to resolve business challenges by facilitating conflict resolution during the grievance process
•    Develops and executes strategies around talent development and retention and the management of multiple HR related objectives simultaneously
•    Participation in a collective bargaining process and the interpretation and application of contracts and agreements
•    Work in a matrix structure with multiple stakeholders, the Regional HR Manager will work with the Regional team to execute on HR strategies and initiatives
•    Advise managers regarding compliance with federal, state, and local labor and employment laws
•    Manages activities including performance, talent management, succession planning, staffing, including hiring, on-boarding and terminations as well as provides guidance and/or develop input on operational workforce planning and organization capability
•    Prepare reports for management in relation to employee turnover; new hires; resignations; training and development etc
•    Drive Code of conduct compliance and facilitate relevant employee relations trainings
•    Lead and manage defined projects for the site such as but not limited to:

o    Engagement
o    Implementing Cultural and Organizational change
o    Specialty Chemicals Values and Behaviors
o    Talent Management Process for the sites. Responsible for identifying, managing and promoting career development and building strong succession plans that align with the business strategy

Job Requirements


•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related discipline
•    Minimum 8+ years generalist experience preferably to include experience as a specialist in several of the HR disciplines including engagement, employee relations, labor relations, compensation, organizational design, workforce planning, career development and training, performance management and employee engagement
•    Able to analyze data to support people-related strategy and initiatives
•    Strong Regional experience across the United States in driving change and integration
•    Quick thinking and comfortable in a creative setting and a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and rewards
•    Union experience and Chemical plant/hazardous site experience preferred
•    Knowledge of SuccessFactors HRIS and ADP payroll preferred
•    Strong business partner and relationship building capabilities across varied employee and management populations
•    Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical skills and project management
•    Able to work in a matrixed environment, building effective relationships with management and functions in a multi-cultural environment
