In our Intermediates Global Team we have a vacancy for an:

 

Account Manager 
Fulltime, Amersfoort, the Netherlands
Monthly salary before tax: €4.450 - €6.800

 

Your challenges 
As Account Manager, you take commercial ownership over a portfolio of existing accounts. The products portfolio includes Glycols, Ethanol amines, Ethylene amines, Carbon Disulfide, Sodium Hydrosulfide and Thiocyanates. You increase sales with existing and new customers and develop the segment strategy for the EMEA region in taking the direction from the Sales Manager Intermediates.

 

Your responsibilities include:
•Define, develop, implement and execute the business strategy for the assigned accounts under the supervision of the Sales Manager EMEA.
•Negotiate contract agreements, while increasing volume and profitability for the assigned accounts and identifying business growth opportunities.
•Take ownership and deliver sales according to budget while providing an accurate forecast.
•Maintain direct contacts with customers in the field, representing Nouryon and representing the company’s expertise in specialty chemicals.
•Provide market intelligence feedback to commercial management on market dynamics, new projects, and competition.
•Support the mapping of demand, competitors and opportunities for Nouryon.
•Manage relations with internal stakeholders and customers’ departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

You have a commercial mindset and you like to bring up new ideas. Moreover, you take ownership of the business and are famous of your ‘can do’ mentality. Furthermore you are accurate, well organized and an excellent communicator. 

 

Have you got what it takes?
To be eligible for this challenging position you bring 5 -10 years of relevant sales experience in a global B2B environment in Specialty Chemicals.   Next to this, you:
• Have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Chemistry. Master would be a plus.
• Are self-motivated, self-confident, energetic, and enthusiastic.
• Possess above average interpersonal and presentation skills.
• You are fluent in English, both verbal and in writing; additional knowledge of the Spanish or German language is a plus.
• Have knowledge of CRM, SAP and MS Office.
• Have the proven ability to manage and grow national and multinational accounts, including ownership of account strategy, contracts, and strategy execution. 
• Have the ability to develop and work in a team culture with internal departments, including - but not limited to - R&D, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
•Willingness to travel in the EMEA region (approximately 50 %) and work from office (100 %).
