Account Manager
Fulltime, Deventer

 

Our Polymer Specialties business manufactures and supplies essential ingredients and sustainable solutions for the polymer industry. These are organic peroxides, co-catalysts (metal alkyls) and other specialty additives used in the production and processing of polymers. From construction materials to  power distribution cables and from plastic recycling to insulation materials, we enable our customers to meet modern society’s challenges. 

 

Your challenges 
As Account Manager, you are responsible for the sales of the Polymer Specialties products to an assigned geographical area in Europe. You will drive consolidation and growth of our business in the polymer producing and fine chemicals markets, while also hunting for new business opportunities. Together with the sales and marketing team you strengthen our market position in the EMEA region.

 

Responsibilities:
•Maximize the total value creation for the business, maintain and grow the business within the guidelines provided by commercial management
•Develop and nurture relationships at multiple levels and disciplines with existing and new customers to optimize value and capture relevant market information for the business
•Frequently visit customers, distributors and relevant industry related events
•Develop strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders and build an effective network 
•Hunt for new business opportunities and manage these in CRM
•Execute the pricing plan and apply the tiered service level policy
•Monitor the order to cash process together with customer service and provide accurate monthly sales forecasts to support production planning
•Execute the sales channel strategy

 

Have you got what it takes?
To be eligible for this challenging position you bring at least a few years of demonstrated working experience in a commercial role in a business to business environment. You have proven to be an excellent relationship builder at different levels within customers organizations. 

 

Competencies:
•Strong communication and presentation skills.
•At least a bachelor’s degree in business or chemistry.
•Fluent in English and preferably German. 
•Have the ambition to work in a technical sales environment, knowledge of the polymer/chemical industry is a plus.
•Strong negotiating skills.
•Well organized,  accurate,good time management, commercial attitude.
•Team player, self-starter, energetic and enthusiastic.
•Good balance between relationship management and hunting mentality.

 

You will travel in the EMEA region for approximately 50% of your time.
