Group Manager Advanced Support & Development Renewable Fibers at Nouryon

We are currently looking for a R&D Group Manager to join the Renewable Fibers R&D Department in Bohus. The overall purpose of this role is to deliver global business growth opportunities within Renewable Fiber chemicals, technologies and applications and thereby support the continuous world leading position of Nouryon. The ideal candidate is capable of managing the Advanced support and Development team with efficient management, prioritization and leadership skills of group members. We also believe that you are an experienced cross functional communicator and collaborator who is able to work towards and reach established objectives.. The position will be a member of the R&D Renewable Fibers leadership team and report directly to R&D Manager Renewable Fibers.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Lead Advanced Support and Development activities to ensure growth and upholding of existing business
  • Lead optimization of existing applications and processes, as well as introducing new applications and more efficient chemical production processes
  • Hire, manage and develop the group as well as the competence of the individuals as needed
  • Manage the project and support portfolio in accordance with Portfolio and IBP processes and align with organizational stakeholders in order to create business value and facilitate growth.
  • Actively and continuously contribute to continuous improvement of management routines and decision processes of the department.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are skilled at organizing, prioritizing workflows and can coordinate the work of others in addition to following criteria:

  • Master of Science in Chemistry Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum of seven years of relevant working experience
  • Previous leadership experience within R&D
  • R&D Mindset with strategic insight and business understanding

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Department Manager, and based in Bohus.
