Nouryon operates essential chemical manufacturing sites across 25 countries. The Le Moyne, Alabama site is located just north of Mobile, Alabama. The location is a major manufacturer of sulfur derivative products for various marketplaces. The site holds a diverse portfolio of products for the pulp and paper industry, mining industry, specialty polymers and synthesis of agrochemicals. The site has been in continuous operation since 1953.



One of our Specialty Chemical businesses has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate, seasoned professional to assume the role of Supply Chain

Manager. This position is located at our LeMoyne manufacturing site in Axis, AL. This position will lead and manage the Supply Chain team by

implementing objectives that meet the strategic objectives to ensure optimal customer satisfaction, inventory

and production levels and cost efficiencies. It will be accountable for the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of activities required for

the effective delivery of products to our customers.  As a member of the site  management team, initiate and participate in the development and recommendation of strategies that supports the success of the regional businesses via supply chain and business support activities and be proactive in the removal of any barriers.

Direct Reports: Logistic Coordinators (2)


The LeMoyne site produces more than 315,000 tons of sulfur products per year~ 10,000 shipments annually via railcars, tank trucks, portable tanks,

ISO tanks, IBC bags, and 20 kg bags.


As a Supply Chain Manager, you will:

- Manage and direct Site Logistics Coordinators providing motivation and direction. Ensure responsibilities relative to these function are

performed in accordance with the needs of the customers.

- Responsible for the day-to-day operations, controlling operational cost and maintenance of the desired service levels to customers and other parties

- Responsible for developing rolling forecasts and inventory plan, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing and Production. Using the forecast determine

which products to produce in a given month, balancing inventory needs vs. capacity and raw material constraints.

- Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with Supply Chain and Customer Service Partners.   Manage supplier base by ensuring: cost,

quality, and lead time requirements are guaranteed as part of the sourcing process and negotiation of any contractual agreements; monitor, provide

feedback, and take corrective action as necessary with suppliers relating to their performance.

- Responsible for management of all finished products and services related to logistics coordination.

- Communicate details of purchasing arrangements to users: i.e. prices, terms and method of handling requirements based on arrangements made in

their behalf. Establish vendor set up in accounting system

- Set appropriate inventory levels per product/package and minimum stock levels.

- Responsible for total site finished goods and raw materials planning and management under the S&OP plan

Job requirements / Candidate profile

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations Management or Business and 2-3 years’

experience in related functions within a chemical-manufacturing environment.

-  3-5 years supervisory experience preferred.

- Proven working knowledge of material usage, transportation, logistics and planning systems.

- Proficient knowledge of SAP, MRP systems and inventory control and various PC applications.

- Effective communication skills, able to listen, manage conflicts to positive outcomes

- Good team player, knows how to build his/her own network

- Focused on results but knows to use the skills and knowledge of the team to design and implement solutions

- Good problem-solving skill
