Nouryon has an outstanding opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist.  This is a remote position.

 

Key Objective

 

The Sales support specialist is responsible for ensuring a smooth sales process and supporting day to day internal commercial activities. This position also contributes to strengthening customer relationships by coordinating activities across functions to satisfy customer needs

 

Responsibilities

Sales Process :

  • Analyze and weekly update on month sales trends
  • Analyze local inventory and monitor stock replenishment

 

Reporting:

  • Owns reporting for the following:
    • Open Order Report
    • Open Orders vs. Forecast vs. Monetized Forecast
    • Late Order Report
    • Valid Pricing in SAP Report
    • Shelf Life and Inventory Report

 

Forecasting:

  • Monitor sales trends and Support Account Managers in updating their forecast

 

Pricing:

  • Review pricing sheets within 24 hours and coordinate upload with sales Admin
  • Responsible for investigating pricing discrepancies entered by the salesforce
  • Ensure best practices for pricing workflow are followed by salesforce
  • Update customer formula pricing as needed

 

Customer inquiries:

  • Coordinate collection of necessary information internally for inbound customer inquiries and questionnaires and ensure timely completion.
  • Submit and follow up sampling requests received through account managers or e-commerce portals

 

Service exceptions:

  • Coordinate corrective actions on service exceptions with Logistics, Customer Service and Account Managers
  • Initiate complaint investigations, monitor progress and provide updates to Account Managers

 

Managing e-commerce:

  • Act as the focal point for external websites (Knowde, UL Prospector)
  • Support implementation of MyNouryon.com

 

New customer on-boarding:

  • Act as focal point for all new customer inquiries
  • Contact new prospects (website, UL prospector) to qualify opportunities. Direct to account managers/channel managers if warrant follow up
  • Set-up contacts with new customers (customer service, accounts payable)
  • Arrange all documentation required for adding new customers to systems
  • Send out New Customer Package (Contact details, PDS, MSDS, COA)

 

Contract process:

  • Upload draft agreements (sales contracts, confidentiality agreements) to the approval tool and facilitate progress
  • Arrange signatures for approved agreements both internally and with the customer
  • Keep the overview of agreements updated, notify account managers of upcoming expiration dates

 

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service, sales, supply chain or related field. Preferably in the chemicals industry 
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Excel and CRM, Power BI
  • Proven track record of building strong customer relationships and finding solutions to meet customer needs
  • Gets motivated by challenges that require outstanding problem solving and communication skills
  • Highly structured way of working, capable of simultaneously managing many divergent tasks
  • Self-motivated, strong social interactor and can-do mentality
