FUNCTION:
Coordinate and see to the completion of major process improvements and capital projects within the site units, from process analyses, project conception and development through project management and start up.
ORGANIZATION:
Reports to: Operations Manager
Supervises: Directly, none.
Indirectly, contractors, must interface with all departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Manage all aspects of major project work.
- Participate in process design and start up activities as required.
- As a key project team member participates with production and maintenance departments in project or work package design, planning, organizing and supervision during shut downs.
- Performs special process or maintenance studies as requested.
- Assists in preparing site emergency and construction standards along with project procedures.
- Maintains and develops a professional competency consistent with industry and Nouryon standards.
- Assists in training other employees, engineers, operators, etc. in equipment and/or process changes.
3.5 HEALTH, SAFETY, SECURITY and ENVIRONMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand and help implement the Green Bay Site Operating Policy and Objectives.
- Be aware of potential health, safety, security and environmental impacts in your area of responsibility and the consequences if an upset occurs.
- Understand and implement any parts of the Green Bay Sites Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to your area of responsibility.
- Participate in the site's on-going Pollution Prevention Process.
- Will be trained and designated as Hazard Study Leader.
QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
Education: B.S. Chemical Engineering or related technology degree
Experience: 2-5 years in project/process experience in plant environment
Training: 1. ISO/RC 14001
