You will partner with various stakeholders including external carriers, brokers, and consultants to ensure programs are delivered effectively and efficiently. You’ll apply your analytical skill and understanding of system interfaces as they related to benefit structure, focusing on identifying competitive enhancements and communicating the healthcare strategy for approximately 1,600 associates in the US.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Leading the delivery of all US benefits and welfare plans; including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, group term life (includes both union and nonunion populations)
- Engaging with and directing all external providers (carriers, brokers, ADP Benefits, etc.) to ensure cost-effective service delivery, resolution of escalated issues, and compliance with plan parameters
- Overseeing the annual open enrollment process
- Partnering with HR Operations, HRIS, and payroll to ensure data flows, deduction files, and interfaces are properly functioning and tested
- Handling the monthly tracking of benefit and claim costs between the outside broker and finance; identifying root cause for changes to costs/trends, and ensuring projections are updated as needed
- Closely managing and understanding claim costs, trends, and key drivers of overall spend across each benefit program; making recommendations as needed to potentially mitigate costs
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders (HRBP’s, managers, employees) to ensure benefit offerings are well understood, changes are communicated effectively and escalated issues are resolved accurately and timely
- Supporting the annual review and renewal process for all benefits programs. Participating in the assessment and impact of plan or carrier changes, financial assessment of changes, and review of vendor performance and service standards
- Successfully resolving escalated employee questions or issues about eligibility or enrollment status
- Supporting the North America rewards team in other initiatives or projects (401k, pensions, ad-hoc projects)
Education & Experience:
- 5 years of related experience in overseeing employee benefit programs
- Experience managing varied outside providers and service providers; maximizing relationships while holding vendors accountable for delivering outstanding service
- High level of familiarity with HR systems, data flows, and running standard reports
- Meaningful experience in health and welfare/wellness design, strategy, implementation, and vendor management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of health & welfare plans, design, and financial drivers. Experience with retirement/defined contribution plans is a plus
- Knowledge of compliance-related requirements including HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA
- Highly detail-oriented, process-focused, and analytical problem solver
- Demonstrated service orientation; ability to partner with HR and managers to develop/assist with benefit programs, policy interpretation, and processes
- Ability to ensure operational processes are flawlessly executed while defining the broader engagement and delivery strategy
