Nouryon has an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer – Americas in Greenbay, WI.


The main purpose is to provide skilled engineering knowledge so that we with our technologies can maintain a competitive advantage on the market


  • Lead Levasil growth projects through FEL1 and FEL2 Phase 
  • Participate in or Lead FEL3 and Execution of growth projects, as needed
  • Assist Technology Licensor Americas supporting the Levasil Plants in the Americas region
  • Lead/Participate in process development projects and new product introductions



Maintain Levasil and Kromasil growth projects through FEL1 and FEL2 phase according to NPM Process:  

    • Being correctly calculated and designed and that authority instructions, legislation and standards are taken in account
    • The plant’s material characteristics being correctly designed taking into consideration the properties of the process media
    • P&ID’s and accompanying lists are of enough detail and quality
    • That the cost estimates are of required accuracy (-20%/+30%)
  • Support, upon request, process licensor by taking on licensor responsibilities for dedicated projects
  • Support with the upkeep of our technology handbooks
  • Consultant in the Management of Change process helping with evaluation of change requests
  • Consultant for Inorganic Specialties R&D in engineering matters
  • Support in optimization of processes and process equipment at the plants connected to the business line
  • Support technology scouting activities
  • Support process of introducing new products, new processes, and new equipment to the plants
  • Support when needed by assume needed responsibilities for growth projects within Inorganic Specialties 
  • Accountable to follow Nouryon code of conduct & ethics, directives as well as life-saving rules


Education Requirements:

  • University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of four (4) years relevant job experience with process engineering in major CAPEX projects from chemical industry
  • Good knowledge of chemistry
  • Experience as discipline lead in larger capex projects following LPM or similar project model
  • Service driven, structured personality
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Experience from working with other cultures
  • Fluent in English
  • Knowledge of Portuguese, a plus
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel
