To provide process and technical support to Site Morris Operations by identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements on best industry practice level. Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities: Process optimization on continuous and batch units Troubleshooting and problem solving in continuous and batch units Support Production Management with process chemistry related issues Analyze process problems using structured problem-solving techniques Scope, design, and manage multiple capital projects to improve safety performance, process unit through put, product quality and cost competitiveness Design engineering justifications, project schedules, cost analysis, and spending authorization documentation for projects Act as Project Manager for assigned capital projects due to being suitable, qualified by experience, education, training, or any combination thereof Conduct safety and design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering best practices, plant engineering specifications and management of change process. Train operators and maintenance technicians on new and existing equipment procedures. Act as the plant engineering representative on large corporately managed projects. Assist in the development and maintenance of the plant's capital plan. Participate in the plant management of change process and quality awareness team. Monitor yields and make recommendations for bill of material adjustments, process SAP transactions related to notifications, capital project accounting, and purchase requisitions Functional Responsibilities/Network Engineering; Process, Mechanical, I&E, Automation, Civil Requirements for Job: BS. Degree in Chemical Engineering Proven capabilities and good understanding of chemical process engineering aspects such as: o Chemical and physical unit operations o Process equipment o Reaction chemistry and technology o Mass and energy transfer o Fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and o Process control systems Experience from chemical process industry site related Engineering work a plus Teamwork and team leadership, ability to manage resources, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, attentive to detail, strong drive and strong results orientation Ability to analyze and solve complex problems using SPC, Pareto diagrams, SWOT analysis, and cause and effect analysis. Experience with Lean Six Sigma, 5S and other continual improvement tools are a plus. Experience from laboratory and pilot scale reactors a plus Ability to make decisions and take action consistent with current developments and trends Physical demands: Must be able to access all areas of site
