Job Responsibilities
- Providing detailed job plans that ensure safe and efficient execution of all maintenance jobs.
- Initiate MOCs, if new materials are required for job completion.
- Managing the work order backlog by:
- Reviewing backlog and planning list.
- Grouping notifications together that can be planned and worked as a single order.
- Developing or copying the work order job plan and clearly documenting required skill crafts, duration, materials, specialty tools and necessary equipment.
- Preparing overview of work permit requirements and maintenance input to work permits as part of job packages.
- Creating purchase request for necessary components.
- Building the job plan library, including ensuring accurate plans exist for high-frequency jobs.
- Continually updating job plans to ensure necessary changes or improvements are incorporated, and efficiencies are captured.
- Facilitating weekly scheduling meeting with Production Supervisor.
- Developing weekly schedules based on negotiated production unit priorities and current business environment to optimize the use of site wide available resources and/or contractors
- Ensures appropriate scheduling logic including amount of preventative maintenance work vs. corrective work
- Publishing and updating daily and weekly schedules to affected work groups
- Adjusting schedules to accommodate changing production priorities or available resources (actual redirection of resources done by maintenance supervisor generally as this person ends up scheduling the mechanics)
- Ensuring timely call-off of materials and services
- Calls off special services, contractors and special tools as described by supervisor and/or contractors for peak coverage in case high amount of urgent work does not allow deferring
- Monitoring and tracking weekly schedule compliance, and publishing results cross-site
- Providing reports on resource utilization and providing input into any staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts
- Interfaces with sourcing in the source process for materials.
- Expedites material deliveries; acts on delays and faulty deliveries.
- Verifies material availability; for materials already on site and for expected material deliveries and confirmed service availability. Modifies work order status accordingly. Based on this work orders are released for scheduling.
- Informs maintenance manager on deviations regarding delivery time affecting the schedule.
- Supports maintenance supervisor for urgent material needs.
- Assist Maintenance Team in Turnaround activities. (Preparing schedules/permits)

Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in the relevant areas (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years in experience in local production in the chemical / petrochemical / pharmaceutical industry or in related areas; a proven track record; hands-on line management experiences with maintenance activities are essential.
- Experience in SAP will be an advantage (Beginners are welcomed)
- Good leadership, organizational, interpersonal/people skills.
- Good working experience in the maintenance of mechanical and E&I equipment / instrument, and in the areas of safety, occupational health, environment, and contractor management.
- HSE and Quality minded altitude.
- Good communication skills, fluency in English and ability to interact with all levels on site.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use AUTOCAD. (added advantage)
