Key Responsibilities:
People Management for Operators
- With your team, support Site initiatives to create a culture of functional and operational excellence, engagement, continuous improvement, accountability and commitment to company values and behaviors.
- Pro-actively promote good health, a safe working environment and fulfillment of Safety Improvement Plan by ensuring the application of all safety rules and procedures. Assuring personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices, active participation in safety programs (e.g. BBS, Process safety fundamentals, Life-saving rules) and demonstration of safe behaviors.
- Assessing staff competency levels vs requirements and identifying training needs.
- Accountable for that all operation personnel will operate the plant within the specified control limits.
- Teambuilding and creating an empowered work culture.
Process Owner for Operation Asset Management (OAM)
- lead and ensure that the OAM process takes place in a safe and cost-effective (adherence to plant budget and BoM) manner according to established procedures
- Accountable for creating a culture of functional and operational excellence through development of the operator’s competences and skills, fulfilling the OAM process and HR processes.
- Accountable for achieving OEE targets.
- Follow up and act on KPIs specific to OAM to identify opportunities to enhance OAM process, achieve improved production efficiencies, teamwork and safe work environment.
- Give daily direction to shifts based on operations plan including production schedule, maintenance schedule, material supplies and planned tasks
- Secure that all operational procedures, instructions and approval of SWS necessary for the operation are updated in order to produce products within operating control limits, with the right quality and on-time according to production schedule.
- Accountable for OAM standards of best practices are developed and kept up to date (e.g. OAO rounds)
- Ensure fulfilling of Integrated Supply Chain processes
- Inform relevant stakeholders on production and safety status
Owner of Product Quality
- approve batch protocols and ensure quality deviations are reported
- initiate and owns investigations
- update plant management system
Maintenance Gatekeeper
- Execute the gatekeeper role according to AMM process
- Leading the development of the maintenance annual budget, continuously monitoring cost performance versus budget and taking necessary actions to achieve committed results at or below budget
Other
- Hold the role as project leader for production related projects following Nouryon Project Management process.
- Executes production projects in a safe, cost and time effective manner
- As a member of the site management team, contribute to the formulation of site objectives and ensure site capabilities, constraints and HSE considerations are incorporated into the site plan
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.
Job Requirements:
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering OR equivalent experience
- < 5 – 8 years of experience required, with 2 years of leadership experience preferred
- Computer knowledge and experience, specifically with Microsoft Office & SAP
- Experience with project management preferred
- Experience with HSE regulations preferred
- Good organizational behaviors, strong communication & interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, active listening, strategic planning, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
