Objective
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is cooperatively accountable with other line and
staff functions for the achievement/results of the Columbus Plant. This position
is primarily responsible for assuring timely, efficient, economical and safe completion
of all maintenance work and projects through preparing and managing the
maintenance work schedules
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring safety, environmental and housekeeping standards are met.
- Responsible for compliance with all operating procedures, safety policies and procedures, environmental policies and procedures, quality policies and procedures, and site policies and procedures.
- Review work order request, confer with requestor and evaluate work order material and labor requirements
- Provide competent technical services, act independently in the straight-forward application of technical expertise.
- Ensure material allocations and requisition non-inventory materials
- Assure work order has approval and authority
- Schedule maintenance labor and material with open or incomplete work orders and coordinate with production
- Plan, schedule and coordinate planned shutdowns.
- Tracks backlog by Schedule
- Prepares reports and working documents for Maintenance Management and Supervision.
- Provide technical expertise for capital projects, equipment specifications and assistance in the preparation of engineering flow sheets
- Preparation of estimates including determination of appropriate technical schemes to meet the assigned objectives. Preparation of well-written technically sound proposals and documentation.
- Manage start-up of projects of moderate size, including scheduling, manpower assignments, obtaining required services or materials, and customer acceptance. Start-up responsibilities include equipment checkout, manual preparation, training, and demonstration of process performance
- Provide input and resolve production problems.
- Works with and maintains Management Systems relative to work orders, equipment histories, drawing files and equipment data
- Facilitate maintenance activities with production
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in a technical area or five (5) years maintenance/production experience in a manufacturing facility
- Skilled in MS Office
- Experience with SAP-PM
