The Production Manager is responsible for:
- Developing and proposing plans for Fort Worth site production units
- Developing the operational action plans and implementing controls to meet targets, identify, assess, and implement business opportunities.
- Overseeing manufacturing units and identifying targets for budgets, volumes, and quality.
- Developing strategies and action plans for technological and technical development of processes supports implementation and controls.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and Nouryon policy and rules of conduct concerning safety, health, environmental, and regulatory affairs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Communicates and interacts with other site functions to ensure efficient and timely operation of manufacturing operations.
- Identifies and analyzes changing business conditions and production performance and undertakes timely corrective action to optimize performance.
- Ensures effective use of production capacity and continued productivity increases while meeting quality, cost control, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Assures the responsible use of physical plants and production capacity. Ensures that products meet the safety, health, and environmental requirements in transportation and use.
- Create optimal conditions for the functions and personnel directed. Designs and implements a clear organizational, reporting, and communication structure that makes optimal use of available Human Resources.
- Performs scheduling requirements for raw material needs and production unit utilization to meet customer requirements based on forecast and current orders.
- Interact with Demand and Supply Chain teams to form a short- and long-term customer requirements plan.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering preferred Chemical Engineering.
- Three (3) to Six (6) years of relevant experience required, Lean Six Sigma experience, and working knowledge of SAP an asset.
