JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for management of facilities maintenance function and ALPS maintenance process which includes planning and scheduling, supervision of contractors, and reliability of equipment.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages facilities maintenance function including Asset Maintenance Management and Maintenance Reliability Management.
  • Responsible for supervision of contractors.
  • Oversees Reliability Aspects of Plant Equipment and works with Engineering to Develop and Maintain Overall Reliability Plan.
  • PSM Champion for Contractor Management, Mechanical Integrity, Hot Work, Safe Work Practices, and Non-routine Work Authorizations, Maintenance and Inspection Plan and Procedures,
  • Plans and executes maintenance projects.
  • Key approver for high risk permit activities and ensures safe completion

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, but Chemical or Industrial Engineering will be considered.
  • At least 7 years experience supervising a Plant Maintenance Department.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge/Experience of operation and maintenance of plant utilities (i.e. steam, compressed air, cooling towers, chillers, HVAC, etc.)
  • Knowledge of industry process standards including ASME B31.3
  • Participate in HSES activities directed by management/supervision or as indicated in the HSES Annual Site Plan
  • Facilities Management experience (utilities, service contractors, general facilities upkeep)
  • Ability to handle small to medium size engineering and infrastructure projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be hands-on.  

 

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations - particularly Process Safety Management.- highly desired
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 requirements - highly desired
  • Knowledge of GMP standards a plus - highly desired
  • Experience in Reliability Maintenance planning and analysis - highly desired
  • Experience in creating maintenance operational procedures a plus.
  • Experience in computerized maintenance planning (experience installing/developing/initiating a CMP process a plus. SAP experience a plus)
  • Experience in predictive maintenance (experience installing/developing/initiating a predictive process a plus).

  • Office.
  • Work may be performed in general manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments which requires the ability to sit for periods of time and to move freely through the manufacturing and warehousing areas.
