Account Manager, Water Treatment

Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):

•             Education: BS degree, preferably in Chemistry or Engineering

•             Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic

•             Above average interpersonal and presentation skills

•             Knowledge of CRM, SAP and MS Office, especially Excel

•             Minimum of 5 to10 years sales experience

•             Requires a valid driver’s license and approximately 50% overnight travel


Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

•             Responsible for maintaining current and developing new customers in the Water Treatment segment in US. Knowledge of Cooling Towers, Boilers, Paper Manufacturing and general Water Treatment formulations and water chemistry is required

•             Selling: maintain and expand position at existing accounts, meeting aggressive growth targets

•             Prospecting: locating and developing new customers, meeting aggressive growth targets

•             Targeting: allocating time among prospects and customers

•             Communicating: providing information about the company’s products and services

•             Servicing: consulting and providing technical/formulation support

•             Information Gathering: Identify new customers, new products, and new applications, conduct market research and intelligence work, including competitors

•             Organization: maintain Call Plans, Key Account Plans and New Business Opportunities

•             Follow up and resolve customer accounts receivable issues

•             Accurate forecasting entered in SAP Zemeter and communicated to Demand Planning

•             Keep CRM account profiles, activities and contacts current

•             Write timely contact reports on all customer meetings involving substantial or new information

•             Receive and interpret customer complaints. Assist in its investigation, resolution and response
