The Market intelligence manager is a global role that supports sales, marketing and R&D by structuring and analyzing market information from internal and external resources. Being the focal point for market and application intelligence., it helps in the development of business strategy as well as the day-to-day analysis of the industry environment
Key responsibilities
Which tasks is the job holder responsible for?
• Tracks market and application information for the Agrochemical Industry to support strategic & tactical decisions, particularly for Marketing & Sales
• Will also support the Feed and Food marketing teams
• Supports also Product Management on intelligence related to the surfactant’s technologies and value chains
• Will create a network of peers and collaborators to work cross-functionally
• Effective communicator, has a passion for information gathering and sharing, connecting people within the organization and contributing to create a stronger collective intelligence
• Should be able to influence employees at different levels of the organization engaging them to participate in data gathering or analysis
• Needs to be able to work with multiple information and analytical tools (import/export databases, industry and regulatory research,)

• Competitor profiles and cost curve analysis
• Supply-demand balances
• Analysis of trade statistics
• Market indicators and industry trends
• Tracking of market size and growth rates. Market share analysis by competitor
• The Global Intelligence Manager requires a high degree of autonomy to work with different disciplines across regions
• Will be responsible to build from scratch the Agricultural Specialties market intelligence function
• Will have to determine business case for investments in resources (consultants, reports, subscriptions) to support the Business Line information requirements
Job requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Working experience in the Agrochemicals industry is strongly desired
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in BTB marketing or marketing intelligence
• Good analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, must be able to manage large amount of data and build the necessary analytical frameworks
• Needs to be able to think strategically, using the access to information to support the Agricultural Specialties management team’s strategic decision making
• Good communication and presentation skills. Capable of working independently
• Ability to work in multicultural and/or multi-disciplinary teams, networking within and outside Nouryon
