Job Title

Key Account Manager

Key responsibilities

 

•Create strategy & develop, manage & ensure realization of sales for the assigned global key accounts

•Fully understand the key accounts current & future needs & act upon customers strategy & tactics

•Create & own the Customer Value Proposition at the global key account

•Keep an overall perspective of interactions & communications between the key accounts & Nouryon

•Identify & prioritize growth opportunities for the BU at these accounts

•Develop strong relationships with key players at the customer & create multi-level connections with the customer organizations.

•Create a strong network with within the Expancel and Nouryon with regards to these global key accounts

•Serve as lead contracts negotiator on commercial terms

•Manage global contracts, confidentiality & joint development agreements

•Keep management informed of all key activities at the global key accounts through effective internal communication

•Provide accurate 24 month rolling forecast for each key account

•Negotiate Pricing within a framework set out according to BU authorization schedule

•Schedule meetings

•Attend key customer & industry functions

•Communicate to team members

 

Job requirements

 

•The individual will be required to have a bachelor’s degree & experience in managing key or complex accounts is mandatory.

•Strong business acumen- professional, articulate polished with prior experience communicating to senior level executives

•Demonstrated ability to develop and work in a team culture with other internal departments including but not limited to R&D, Customer Service, and Supply Chain

•Outstanding communication skills- verbal & written

•Excellent influencing skills

•Approx. 40% travel required & individual is expected to be flexible.

•Passion, ambition & drive for results

•Knowledge of CRM, SAP and MS Office

•Minimum of 5 to 7 years sales experience in B2B Specialty Chemical Sales.  Strong knowledge of packaging, automotive, adhesives/sealants, construction/building materials market is a definite plus.

•Collaborative cross-functional team player and networker

•Excellent English language skills, both orally and in writing
