The role of the warehouse manager is an integral part of the logistics hubs. Geographically the focus will be on the region the hub has responsibility for. This person is the overall point of contact for the Nouryon organization for current or future topics / projects relating to our external warehouse operations and (potential) suppliers. 

Location: Houston, TX 


•    Responsible for operations of warehouse locations throughout Americas Region – Primarily in the Gulf, SE, Mid-West areas. 
•    Manage overall performance warehouse operations
•    Establish KPI’s for purposes of managing this performance
•    Manage external warehouse suppliers 
•    Manage internal stakeholders 
•    Determine and harmonize working procedures between Customer Service, Planning and Logistics Hub
•    Act as single point of contact for matters related to warehouse performance and cost
•    Lead effort in network optimization in close collaboration between Procurement, Logistics, Planning and Marketing and Sales 
•    Work with sites & sales to optimize inventory footprint / working capital 
•    Own change management based on improvement plans 
•    Act as lead representative for outsourcing projects or new initiatives 
•    Create central reporting regarding warehouse performance and cost  
•    Support in optimizing transport to and from warehouse locations 
•    Manage the operational payment/invoice process for 3rd party warehouses
•    Drive supplier performance 
•    Drive and recommend optimal structure
•    Approval of costs and extra costs (significant approvals by hub manager)
•    Define projects for purposes of improvement (LEAN, Transport costs, Inventory optimization)  

Job Requirements:
•    5 - 10 years warehouse design or warehouse management related experience
•    Bachelor’s Degree preferred – Preferably logistics or business graduate
•    Experience in Chemical Industry/Refinery intermediates 
•    Experience with solution design 
•    Experience with multiple packaging types – liquids, solids, gas 
•    Experience with LEAN, Network Design projects
•    Experience with storage of DG; Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Handling, Packed & Liquids
•    Knowledge of SAP, Warehouse Management Systems, Transport management systems 
•    Ability to managing multiple internal stakeholders;
•    Advanced skills MS Office - data analysis, PowerPoint 
•    Strong collaborative skills
