The primary focus of the Fleet Supply Planner is the deployment of fleet planning processes and determine fleet size. Also, management and maintenance of the fleet size plan to balance customer demand, production and logistics capacities and raw materials requirements to ensure orders are fulfilled as required for the responsible area.  In addition, maintain and improve working relationship with especially internal stakeholders like Sales Managers, CSO, Hub and ISC as well as sometimes external.  Furthermore, increasing the efficiency of the utilization of the fleet. supply chain through targeted replenishment parameters and associated KPIs to ensure ISOs and RTC are available to meet the sales plan, while minimizing operational costs.


This position is located in Houston (Energy Corridor), TX




  • Manage the ISO Tank fleet and related fleet for PF businesses. Note the scope of this role includes Asia, North America, Europe and South America.  Responsible for creating the fleet demand forecast derived from the budget and the IBP process
  • Fleet assignment to product/customer combinations; working with Business Managers, customer service, customers & sites to ensure optimal turnaround of the ISO Tanks in order maximizing contribution margin per container per year. Recommend allocation plan for ISO Tanks when in short supply
  • Participate in IBP and DSR meetings and processes. Key user of Global Fleet Management system(s). SAP master data maintenance for the fleet objects. Responsible to keep the SAP data clean and proper related to the Fleet SAP transaction. Improve the reliability of the current BW fleet reports
  • Enables fleet tracking by customer by providing the Business and ISC and with fleet status and overdue data by account. Manages uniform work processes and use of Fleet Management System(s) among colleagues
  • Optimize the return process, including optimization of bookings, minimization of delays, and cargo acceptance by carriers, together with responsible colleagues. Minimize number of idle days either at the customer or the sites -- compare ISO Tank performance versus targets. Determine root cause of failure to meet targets at the episodic level
  • Lead development, communication, and implementation of business processes and practices across production sites, hubs and sales offices related to the fleet objects
  • Responsible for contract management, AR’s, on & of-hire and organizing maintenance according legal requirements. Optimize downtime or idle capacity by spreading & track maintenance time
  • Responsible for technical supplies in cooperation with TSM
  • Create and distribute KPIs for effective management of the fleet such as average turnaround
  • Develop and maintain the logistics strategy for the ISO Tanks
  • Being a senior advisor in the negotiating process for Sourcing and Procurement and select the best suitable suppliers
  • Manage supplier base and key suppliers to be able to receive to requested service at the optimal costs, but at the same time limit the level of administrative actions needed
  • Plan and carry out operational review meetings with allocated Logistics Service Providers
  • Initiate continuous improvements of the logistical process and fleet assets by analyzing and advising in new types of equipment, new ways of allocating volume to carriers, IT systems and integration possibilities, big data analyzes




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management or related area of study
  • 3-7 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or Planning
  • Experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment preferred
  • Management experience preferred
  • Previous background in building and maintaining strong customer relationships internally and externally
  • This position requires both a deep knowledge of planning; product; customer and production asset management
  • The successful incumbent will also have a high level of people management skills due to the large number of collaboration partners
  • Requires strong communication with all functional levels within the business, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • APICS Certification and Six Sigma preferred
  • SAP GFM and MRP experience a plus
