Job purpose

  1. Lead global and regional Design & Modify Supply Chain (D&MSC) projects which deliver functional and business strategy elements: Productivity, Growth, Service Performance, Compliance and HSES&S.
  2. Lead regional and global projects which are sub-tracks within corporate and functional Transformation Programs. 
  3. Serve as the regional Logistics & Operations Business Improvement Service Leader, interfacing with businesses at Business Group level and Business Unit level in support of business growth and improvement initiatives. 
  4. Drive regional team performance delivery and capability through talent development and support organizational continuity through talent identification.
  5. Server as the designated First Among Equals within the Regional Improvement Team, serving as the regional representative on the Global Improvement Leadership Team and having oversight of the regional project pipeline maintenance, recording and reporting. 
  6. Serve as the Logistics & Operations Improvement Team regional primary cross functional focal point.

    Responsibilities

  8. As a project manager, this role is responsible and accountable for executing projects using established methodology and successfully meeting all defined deliverables (e.g. value, performance level, schedule, budget, etc.).
  9. Engage businesses through a defined process in order to understand their strategy, identify logistics project needs, define projects and incorporate into the project portfolio pipeline; understand the business priorities and represent the business interest in Logistics and Operations portfolio management prioritization activities. 
  10. Engage regional functional improvement counterparts to identify project interdependencies, opportunities for cooperation and support and build effective cross-functional relationships. 
  11. Organize and lead opportunity identification sessions within the region incorporating both functional and business participation. 
  12. Ensure regional projects and assigned global projects are maintained in the Logistics and Operation Improvement Portfolio Management System.
  13. Ensure regional project and assigned global project results are maintained and updated in corporate reporting systems (e.g. ANT)
  14. Ensure regional project reporting and dashboards are maintained and published on time. 
  15. Participate on the Logistics & Operations Global Improvement Leadership Team, representing the region in portfolio management and resource management activities. 
  16. Identify talent for consideration in organizational continuity, enhancement succession planning. 
  17. Mentor developing members of the regional team.
  18. Provide the Director Improvement Logistics & Operations with assessments of regional individual training and development `needs, leading the regional deployment of programs as required. 
  19. Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of partner function structure, work processes and interconnections with Logistics and Supply Chain (e.g. M&E, R&D, Finance, etc.)
  20. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain enabling technology (SAP, Network Modeling, Track & Trace, etc.)
  21. Maintain an SME level knowledge and expertise company Logistics and Supply Chain processes.

    Qualifications

  23. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM or relevant business field or equivalent work experience in a relevant field, with demonstrated performance as a successful project – program leader.
  24. Minimum of 10 years of experience in M&E, Supply Chain, Logistics or as a Black Belt Project Leader. 
  25. Demonstrated ability to deliver high value, complex, schedule driven projects on time and within budget. 
  26. Demonstrated ability to manage and adjust priorities in a dynamic business environment.
  27. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain interpersonal working relationships across functional and business organizational lines. 
  28. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of diverse individuals with varied experiences, abilities and interest. 
  29. Demonstrated ability to lead a group of stakeholders with competing interest to a workable consensus. 
  30. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required.  
  31. Ability to travel regionally and globally as required, with reasonable planning and notice.
