Task and responsibilities
You will develop the process safety culture of our plant via facilitation of key process safety programs as well as accessing and following design guidelines and standards. This will include the identification of control measures to reduce risks, contribution to incident investigations, reporting of process safety metrics and providing of PSM training. As Process Safety Specialist you will report to the plant Engineering Manager, but also have contact to our global process safety organization. As part of your personal development program you will be trained to work as backup for our site HSE manager. To be successful in this role, you need to have a strong safety mindset and be driven by solving problems and seeking for improvement and development. You need to have a good analytical ability and a proactive approach. 
•    degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
•    minimum of 5 years of experience in a process related industry with knowledge of Process Safety Management and European Safety Legislation
•    a good working knowledge and practical experience of the chemical industry and application of industrial chemistry or chemical engineering skills 
•    experience to controlling risks in the chemical industry
•    sound knowledge of the hazards associated with the handling of flammable liquids and powders
•    experience of applying the principles of safety as applied to the manufacture, storage and handling of hazardous chemicals
•    experience of hazard identification and risk assessment techniques
•    good communication skills in Finnish and English
•    good team working skills
