Hydrogen is an important energy carrier and key building block in chemical processes.

Hydrogen is used as feedstock in many (bio)chemical refining processes for processing or upgrading refining products. It is a key building block in regular fuels and bio-fuels. Usage:

  • in food processing
  • as a fuel
  • as a carbon free energy carrier
  • to produce ammonia

Hydrogen is often produced from natural gas, however it can also be produced in a sustainable way, from electrolysis based on wind or solar power. This is called green hydrogen.  We are currently working on several scale up green hydrogen projects.
