In your future role as Global Fleet Asset Manager, you will
Manage the coordination of Global Fleet Assets for the Metal Alkyls/HPMO portfolio within Polymer Specialties and Inorganic Specialties organization globally. Fleet Assets are assets that are utilized for the transit and consumption of Organometallic Specialty and High Purity Metalorganic compounds to customers. The Global Fleet Asset Manager is responsible for managing the assets to maintain safety, compliance, and quality of the fleet to the defined standards. Key responsibility is to manage budget of fleet to balance service, inventory, and cost and interface with the Technology and Engineering teams to validate that the proper standards for the equipment are established. The asset manager will interface with the operations team to make sure that the fleet is tested and maintained for compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement and monitor the CAPEX plan globally for Metal Alkyls/HPMO fleet within the scope of the BU strategy to realize the ambitions and goals of the organization;
- Coordinate, monitor and drive Project activities;
- Manage Project risks, issues changes and resources and take corrective actions when necessary;
- Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative project development by means of reports and /or analyses;
- Review global requirements with market segment leader to make sure fleet is able to support the growth plans;
- Monitor the lifecycle of fleet to determine replacement strategy that validates the fleet is in compliance with local and global standards;
- Manage customer expectations;
- Liaise with the (Capex) sourcing organization;
- Build, maintain and utilize a network of internal and external stakeholders/partners and represent the project within the organization;
- Drive accountability within the regional fleet planners and site maintenance organizations;
- Interface with the Technology and Engineering teams to make sure that all assets have proper specifications and are in compliance with current local and global regulations;
- Contribute to and execute functional excellence in the area of project management;
- Adhere to Nouryon policies, guidelines, processes, methodologies, working methods and systems;
- Participate in and execute value improving practices (peer reviews, value engineering) and knowledge management (sharing, maintaining, updating information and best practices);
- Monitor projects globally and optimize budget and service level;
- Liaise with Market segment leaders and product managers globally and organize regular coordination;
- Help establish the Maintenance support organization for Fleet globally;
- The position is based in La Porte, TX but requires occasional travel. Approximately 25 % of you working time will be for regional & global travel.
We believe you are
A person with excellent analytical skills, solid understanding of supply chain and business processes and the ability to prioritize and proactively complete projects with little direction. You also have good communicating skills and talk easily with stakeholders in different function levels.
- Ability to define, prepare, lead and execute projects, in line with business needs and Project management methods and techniques, in order to deliver projects according to objectives;
- Ability to Manage the relation with a large variety of (groups of) stakeholders on strategic level. Manages opposite interests, has own relevant network and starts introducing others;
- Initiates projects and programs, define scope and activities, leads decision taking and manages uncertainties and expectations of a varied group of stakeholders;
- Maintain strict control over projects and ensure that defined projects are completed in a timely matter. In addition, the management of the projects includes the design, the buy-in and the acceptance of the change, the realization and deployment as well as the after care and the embedding stage,
- Uses the recognized set of project management tools to keep in equilibrium people, process and tools for a successful completion of projects;
- Procurement and Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of ISO tanks and pressure cylinders, ensuring they meet industry specifications and standards
- Risk Management: Developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards associated with transporting and storing chemicals.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilizing data analytics to track fleet performance, utilization, and costs, and providing detailed reports to management.
- Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for the fleet management team on best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance specific to chemical handling and transportation.
- Create and distribute KPIs for effective management of the fleet such as average turnaround per cylinder type.
We believe you bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- Highly proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Access; SharePoint)
- Demonstrable capability to analyze data (including mass cross-reference data validation, trending and forecasting)
- Experience with SAP (equivalent ERP system)
Great if you have
- Experience from Business Warehouse (or equivalent data warehouse) or Arkieva (or equivalent advanced planning software);
- Experience from APICS CPIM or CSCP;
