Alcoflow® 920 polymer is a high-actives, medium-molecular-weight sulfonated polycarboxylate developed to control halite formation. It tolerates extreme brines, including calcium-contaminated saturated sodium chloride brines, and is thermally stable. It treats halite caused by temperature-related saturation of produced water or brine dehydration through gas evolution, by topside injection or downhole capillary or gas lift delivery that protects downhole safety valves.
