Triameen® Y12D is a non-oxidizing, surface-active organic biocide. In oilfield applications, it adsorbs onto microbial cell membranes and disrupt their function, providing effective control with lower corrosivity than oxidizing biocides. Selection is guided by target organisms, applicable approvals, and the intended treatment regime, in line with regional regulatory requirements. Some also contribute to corrosion inhibition.
