    The pulp and paper industry uses hydrogen peroxide as a bleaching agent. It is also a common bleaching agent used in the textile industry. Hydrogen peroxide is used in the manufacture of both inorganic and organic chemicals and for the surface treatment of metals such as pickling. Examples include the manufacturing of percarbonates, perborate, peracetic acid, a wide variety of organic peroxides and propylene oxide. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural choice for environmental remediation and wastewater treatment due to its effectiveness and harmless degradation products. This grade of Eka® HP can be utilized as a biocidal active substance which makes it useful in various water disinfection applications. Eka® HP can also be used as NOx and SOx control agent in flue gas treatment for various industrial segments.
