The Alabama site is a major manufacturer of sulfur derivative products for various marketplaces. The site holds a diverse portfolio of products for the pulp and paper industry, mining industry, specialty polymers and synthesis of agrochemicals. The site has been in continuous operation since 1953.
Position: Millwright Mechanic
Function: The millwright mechanic performs various tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Planner which may include equipment repair and calibrations which support plant operations.

Key Responsibilities and tasks:
Complete repairs of critical equipment in various areas of the plant through the use of the work order system as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor. Equipment/responsibilities include: Furnaces, Reactors, Boilers and High Pressure Vessels, Centrifuges, Gear Boxes, Transport Screws, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems, Hazardous Materials Piping, Perform pump repair and alignment to established standards, Utilize both dial and laser alignment tools, Perform work on high speed rotating equipment, Turbines, Pumps, and Blowers; Operates standard general maintenance equipment and tools; Drill press, Portable drill, Torque wrench, Hand tools, etc. Responsible for rigging and operation of crane. Requires CIC operator certification up to 75 Ton (includes test). Performs other maintenance mechanic duties as assigned. Participate in the development of the AOP and completes improvement projects on the plan.
High school degree required.
Completion of related accredited trade school curriculum, or apprenticeship program preferred
Computer Systems and Software (SAP preferred)
Three plus years industrial experience.
Chemical plant experience preferred.
Ability to perform various welding duties using wire welding GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), or SMAW (Stick Welding). Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions also preferred, though not required for this role.
