About the job:

Nouryon’s Houston, TX location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering Director. This position is essential to:

• Define cybersecurity requirements throughout the Nouryon technical environments based on business needs, asset criticality, and risk profile.  Develop architectural patterns and implementation plans to maintain security vigilance.  Assess existing environments for nonconformance and recommend remedial actions.  Adapt industry frameworks and drive implementation efforts.  Develop and communicate current state, future state targets, roadmaps, and resource needs.  
• Develop technical security controls to meet business needs and adhere to standards. Select, procure, deploy, and provide tier-3 support for cybersecurity tools and solutions.  Review existing technical environments for areas of improvement, and engineer enhanced capabilities where applicable.  Publish standards, plans, procedures, and playbooks to support existing governance requirements.
• Support continuous monitoring, detection, and response processes.  

In your future role as a Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering Director, you will:

• Provide advanced Subject Matter Expertise to all applicable areas of the CISO Office, information technology asset owners, and business leaders throughout the company.  Promote improved technical awareness through intentional training efforts.
• Train, lead, mentor, coach, appraise and develop cybersecurity architecture & engineering workforce.  Support the CISO Office strategy and operations planning activities.  Participate in annual budget development.  
• Establish and foster relationships with leaders and relevant individual contributors in peer and internal customer organizations.  Exhibit expert communication skills by translating complex cybersecurity concepts into common language.  Provide consulting services, furthering the mission of the CISO Office throughout Nouryon.  Gathering risk information from asset owners and other parties, and then ensuring the Risk Management processes are followed. 

We Believe You Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CRTSA, CNDA, GDSA, CSSA
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in active, highly-technical cybersecurity engineering & architecture efforts, including secure baseline configuration, vulnerability management, network security, intrusion detection/prevention, endpoint controls, anti-malware, incident response, and cybersecurity solution development.
• Strong leadership experience, including team leadership and project management.
• Multi-platform technical experience, including Microsoft OS, VMware, Azure, zero trust, email security gateways, firewalls.
• Familiarity with OT systems architecture, operations, and security.
• Cybersecurity architecture development experience, using SABSA, TOGAF, etc.
• Knowledge of internationally recognized cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST CSF, and the NIST 800 series
