Application Specialist MES/OT / Especialista en Aplicaciones MES/OT

The Application Specialist MES/OT serves as Nouryon’s subject matter expert in application and support for MES/OT and a key member of the  IM services Functional Application support team, working together with the rest of the team in our new IT Hub in Mexico City. In this role you will play a crucial part in supporting our strategic initiatives enhancing and maintaining core application critical to our business operations.

In your future role as Application Specialist MES/ OT you will

• Support Incident Management by registering, monitoring, and resolving application-related tickets to keep systems operational.
• Monitoring application performance to maintain the integrity of the production environment and ensure system stability.
• Managing the incident resolution process to uphold systems uptime and stability.
• Ensuring applications are maintained according to SLAs and regional business needs.
• Being available for emergencies on a 24x7 schedule.
• Serving as the initial escalation point for third-party vendors and end-users on maintenance issues.
• Contributing to policy and standards changes and ensuring compliance with IM processes.
• Documenting applications thoroughly, including technical, process, and end-user aspects.
• Executing changes and enhancements, including problem description, solution preparation, and system change execution.
• Conducting tests as per integration test specifications and diagnosing faults.
• Analyzing and supporting key users' training needs and maintaining training materials.
• Periodically visiting customer sites to address issues and demonstrate visibility.
• Supporting project handover activities and participating in project execution.
• Participating actively in the Change Advisory Board and implementing automation initiatives.

We believe you bring

• 5-10 years of experience in the IT/OT sector, including 3-5 years of experience in OT applications execution implementation.
• Background in IT/OT and/or chemical/manufacturing industries.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in relevant business application platforms such as GE Application Suite, GE Plant Application, GE Historian, GE iFIX, KepwareEX, SCADA systems, MS SQL Server, MS OS Server.
• Familiarity with standards like ITIL, ISA 95, T-SQL.
• Proficiency in .NET VB, .ASP, Powershell, Azure/Power BI, and Virtual OS (Hyper-V) is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of business processes and service level agreements.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English (speaking and writing).
