Production Superintendent (Superintendente de Produccion)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee production operations, ensure the efficient use of raw materials and packaging, and maintain safety standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication in English, and a solid understanding of chemical processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure automatic consumption of raw materials and packaging for each scheduled order; develop plans/strategies for orders that require manual consumption.
• Monitor, improve, and train shift supervisors on work process metrics, including asset utilization.
• Lead the improvement and sustainability efforts in production areas.
• Manage vacation and overtime schedules for production supervisors and unionized staff, optimizing departmental costs.
• Develop and maintain training plans for new production staff and all operations personnel in collaboration with the process engineering department.
• Supervise site operations to ensure safety, participate in incident analysis, and address production delays using 5S or Ishikawa methodologies.
• Program unit shutdowns to safe conditions as required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
• 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing as a production supervisor.
• Proficiency in digital tools and ERP systems (SAP preferred; other ERP experience accepted).
• Experience in inventory control and understanding of operational procedures and chemical reactions.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and use digital systems (MES, OAM, ISC digital, PSA, intranet).
• Adherence to safety and environmental compliance regulations.
• Understanding of process safety management (PSM) and process safety information.
• Participation in PHAs, MOCs, and RCPS as required.
