Today we announced important investments in China to support the country’s increasing demand for high-performance polymers and grow alongside its customers in one of the world’s fastest growing polymer markets. At its site in Jiaxing, Nouryon has completed a capacity expansion for metal alkyls production, which will ultimately double its ability to produce triethylaluminum, a co-catalyst essential in the manufacture of polyethylene and polypropylene for packaging, automotive components and consumer goods.

We are partnering with Sumitomo Chemical to include a new plant Sumitomo is building at its site in Oita, Japan. The new plant will supply a key raw material used for Nouryon’s Perkadox 14 organic peroxide. Perkadox 14 is an essential ingredient in the manufacture of many elastomeric products, including shoe soles, yoga mats and other rubber goods.

Nouryon today announced the expansion of the company’s Application Development Centers in Deventer, the Netherlands and Chattanooga, Tennessee, US, to offer advanced technical service capabilities dedicated to cleaning in Europe and North America. Nouryon announced that it is now certified to the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification standard ISCC PLUS for the production of green monochloroacetic acid (MCA) at its site in Delfzijl, the Netherlands. The Company is a leading global supplier of MCA, and the first and only producer of green MCA that is derived from sustainably sourced raw materials.

Nouryon has launched an additive that helps customers comply with the latest performance standards in China for one-component cement waterproofing membranes. Elotex® FX2325 is a redispersible polymer powder (RPP) that meets the requirement that membranes bridge cracks in concrete substrates used under ceramic tiles. It is also formaldehyde free, making it compliant with more stringent emissions standards.
