Perkadox® 26 is an initiator for (co)polymerization of vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride and (meth)acrylates. Perkadox® 26 is applied as an initiator for the suspension and mass polymerization of vinyl chloride in the temperature range of 40-65°C. Light yellow transparent antifouling agent particularly suited for protection of internal walls of reactors used for suspension polymerization of PVC.

Thermoset composites

Detailed description

Perkadox® 26 is a peroxydicarbonate for elevated-temperature curing of unsaturated polyester, vinylester, acrylate and methacrylate resins. Perkadox® 26 may be used in combination with other peroxides such as tert-Butyl peroxy-2-ethylhexanoate (Trigonox 21S), tert-Amyl peroxy-2-ethylhexanoate (Trigonox 121-C75), tert-Butyl peroxybenzoate (Trigonox C, or Dilauroyl peroxide (Laurox) to increase cure efficiency. Perkadox® 26 is not suitable for clear casting or coating applications.
