Process Analytics Engineer

We're looking for talents who are:

Chemical engineer with solid process control and process optimization background

Experience with advanced data analytics and tooling on top of process knowledge - we use Python and TrendMiner day to day

Comfortable with AI tools (Claude/ChatGPT/Copilot) for real analysis and coding support, not just writing emails

Job Purpose:

The regional Process Analytics Engineer will drive and help deliver operational improvements at our manufacturing sites through utilization of digital tools and data analytics. This involves establishing and maintaining a collaboration effort between the regional team you are part of, other (regional) teams and the different focus sites in scope.

Key Accountabilities:

Provide and build digital, analytical- and process control/tuning capabilities and other domain expertise.

Contribute to the overall Process Automation & Digital roadmap by capturing and driving operational improvements at our manufacturing sites.

Key activities:

· Through digital data mining, collect, interpret, and report manufacturing process related opportunities.

· Review and optimize the process control layer using available tools in combination with practical and theoretical knowledge.

· Connect- and collaborate with focus sites and other (regional) teams within Nouryon.

· Share knowledge and build digital, analytical and process control capabilities both internally as well as locally at our manufacturing sites.

Key Competencies:

1. Hands-on, plant-floor mentality — not someone who wants to sit in the office only. We go to the plants.
2. Can-do attitude, comfortable getting hands dirty on-site
3. Willing to travel, including extended assignments across China if required. Example: one of my team members from Tianjin is currently on long assignment in Ningbo, working with a peer to implement a large initiative pipeline across the Jiaxing, Taixing, and Ningbo plants.
4. Strong communicator — needs to build alignment and buy-in with site leadership and process engineers
5. Able to build a good working relationship with regional OpEx, since they're our eyes and ears in-region and help drive implementation of key projects
