At Nouryon, our global team takes positive action every day, to reach higher collectively and individually. We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society’s needs – today and in the future.

We are looking for team members who bring ideas forward, champion others and work together to do better. Does that sound like you?

About the job

The HR Advisor is a proactive and service-minded HR generalist who provides advice and support across the full range of HR topics in the Netherlands. In this role, you quickly build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and take ownership of issues, seeing them through to resolution, even when they extend beyond your direct area of responsibility.

Due to the nature of the role, you are continuously looking for opportunities to improve HR policies, processes, and ways of working. You take the initiative to drive and implement these improvements, helping to enhance the employee and manager experience across the organization.

In your future role as HR Advisor you will

•    Be part of the HR Operations team, owning HR Operations processes and administration across the end-to-end hire-to-retire lifecycle.
•    Act as a generalist point of contact for employees and managers on a broad range of HR topics, policies, processes, and procedures.
•    Work closely with our Global Service Center (GSC) in India, which supports the team with HR administration.
•    Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions, building strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
•    Support and educate managers and HR Business Partners on HR-related matters.
•    Take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution, even when they do not strictly fall within the scope of the role.
•    Ensure compliance with legislation and the collective bargaining agreement (CAO), and that these are accurately reflected in our HR processes.
•    Create and maintain work instructions and manuals.
•    Contribute to activities and projects across different HR areas in addition to your core HR advisory responsibilities.
•    Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, formulate proposals, and drive implementation.
•    Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across the business and take the lead in projects and initiatives when needed.

We believe you bring

•    A Bachelor's degree.
•    6+ years of experience in HR Support, HR Operations, or a similar HR generalist role.
•    Broad knowledge of HR policies, processes, and the employee lifecycle.
•    Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including labour law, compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle management.
•    Experience working in a complex and preferably international environment.
•    Experience with HR systems such as SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, Kronos, and SAP Payroll.
•    Change management experience and the ability to identify opportunities, drive process enhancements, and implement change.
•    Fluent in both Dutch and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

We believe you are...

•    Result-oriented and proactive.
•    Able to quickly build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization (in and outside HR).
•    Highly service-minded, with a genuine drive to solve problems, even when they do not strictly fall within your own area of responsibility.
•    Experienced in stakeholder management within a multicultural environment.
•    Collaborative and comfortable working with colleagues across teams and functions.
•    Detail-oriented, with strong administrative skills and a focus on accuracy.
•    Analytical, with the ability to translate information into meaningful insights and proposals.
•    A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, with effective presentation skills.
•    Passionate about continuous improvement, with the ability to identify opportunities, develop improvement ideas, and drive their implementation.
•    Comfortable taking the lead in improvement projects and bringing them to a successful completion.
