Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

At Nouryon, our global team takes positive action every day, to reach higher collectively and individually. We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society's needs – today and in the future.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management who brings strong expertise in enterprise risk management, business continuity, and cross-functional collaboration to join our team. If you enjoy building effective risk management programs, partnering with senior leadership, and driving meaningful improvements across a global organization, this could be the opportunity for you!

About the Job

As Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, you will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Nouryon's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity programs. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, strengthen risk governance, and support informed decision-making across our global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve Nouryon's Enterprise Risk Management framework, including risk assessments, risk taxonomy, risk appetite statements, key risk indicators (KRIs), and governance processes.
  • Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with senior leaders across functions and regions, helping identify emerging risks, evaluate exposures, and establish mitigation plans.
  • Manage the enterprise risk register, monitor mitigation activities, and develop dashboards and executive-level reports for the Risk Steering Committee, CFO, and senior leadership.
  • Lead the Business Continuity Management program, including business impact analyses, site continuity plans, tabletop exercises, and operational resilience initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders and risk owners to strengthen risk awareness, establish clear accountability, and implement consistent risk management practices across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance risk management processes, align programs with recognized frameworks such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000, and ISO 22301, and support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in enterprise risk management, risk advisory, internal audit, or a related discipline, including hands-on experience developing or managing ERM programs.
  • Solid knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, risk appetite frameworks, key risk indicators, quantitative analysis, and scenario modeling.
  • Experience supporting business continuity management or operational resilience programs.
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops, influence senior stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across functions within a global, matrixed organization.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and executive reporting skills, with proficiency in data analysis and dashboard tools, SharePoint, and familiarity with AI tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a corporate Enterprise Risk Management role within a global manufacturing organization, ideally in the chemical industry.
  • Background in Big 4 or consulting, particularly advising organizations on ERM program implementation or improvement.
  • Professional certifications such as CBCP, CERA, CRMA, CRISC, CPA, or equivalent risk management credentials.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strategic and analytical: You can translate complex risk information into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and meaningful business priorities.
  • Collaborative and influential: You build credibility with senior leaders, facilitate productive discussions, and drive alignment without relying on formal authority.
  • Proactive and results-oriented: You take ownership of programs, manage competing priorities, and consistently follow through on commitments.
  • Independent and objective: You demonstrate sound judgment, maintain professional integrity, and provide constructive guidance while respecting business ownership of risk decisions.
  • Adaptable and discreet: You navigate complex organizational environments, handle sensitive information professionally, and embrace opportunities for continuous improvement.

What We Offer

At Nouryon, you will join a global organization committed to operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape and strengthen our Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity programs while working directly with senior business leaders across functions and regions.
