About the Job:

We’re looking for an I&E Lead Tech to join our maintenance team and help keep our electrical and instrumentation systems running safely, reliably, and efficiently.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of electrical and instrumentation equipment throughout our chemical processing facility.

You’ll also help identify recurring equipment issues, support the maintenance team, and make sure our equipment and systems are maintained to the highest safety and reliability standards.

In your future role as I&E Lead Tech, you will:

• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on electrical and instrumentation equipment, including flow, pressure, temperature, level, weight, and other control instruments.
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, control loops, PLCs, AC drives, and digital control systems.
• Install, configure, and set up electrical and instrumentation equipment for replacements, upgrades, and new projects.
• Maintain accurate equipment history and maintenance records.
• Maintain the computerized database used for instrument calibrations.
• Identify and communicate recurring electrical and instrumentation issues so they can be addressed and eliminated.
• Assist mechanics with basic electrical and instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Help maintain the safe and proper operation of test equipment and the E&I workshop.
• Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when performing work within the role.
• Operate safely, responsibly, and with a high level of integrity in all areas of the job.
• Support other general maintenance department objectives as needed.
• Work in a chemical processing facility, with activities potentially taking place throughout manufacturing, warehouse, office, and other plant areas.
• Complete required training on the SAP Plant Maintenance module.

We believe you bring:

• 2–5 years of experience maintaining industrial electrical components, electronic control devices, and associated control loops.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment, PLCs, AC drives, and digital control systems.
• Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical testing equipment and instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with general electrical installation and maintenance.
• A 2-year degree in industrial electrical, electronics, instrumentation, or a related field is preferred.
• An Electrical License is preferred.
• Experience working in a chemical plant or other industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, particularly SAP, is preferred.
• PSM (Process Safety Management) experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of plant utilities such as steam, compressed air, cooling towers, chillers, and HVAC is a plus.
• Facilities maintenance experience, including utilities, service contractors, and general facility upkeep, is a plus.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A self-motivated, independent, hands-on approach to your work.
• The ability to multitask, troubleshoot problems, and work effectively with others.
• Willingness and ability to work safely in a chemical processing/manufacturing environment.

Additional Details:
 

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be based at our site in Salisbury, NC.
