About the job:

 

This position will lead the sales team to deliver top and bottom-line growth for the personal care and Pharma segment to deliver the short- and long-term sales and profitability targets that are in line with annual budgets.

 

In your future role as a Sales Manager you will:

 

·        Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing sales team.

·        Define and execute pricing and product strategy with Marketing and Product Management across segments.

·        Deliver annual sales budget in line with regional objectives and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline to achieve growth targets.

·        Lead accurate forecasting and budgeting for the market; meet forecast accuracy and overdue targets.

·        Drive pricing discipline to optimize volume and profitability.

·        Implement regional/global account management standards; coach the team on robust account plans and ensure execution.

·        Expand and deepen strategic relationships with key accounts at multiple levels and functions.

·        Identify market trends, customer needs, and innovation opportunities; ensure timely communication of trends, opportunities, and risks.

·        Partner with Technical, Product, and Marketing teams to shape the product portfolio and value propositions that meet customer and market needs.

·        Lead successful launch and adoption of new products and value propositions.

·        Act as a key interface with Product Management, Marketing, and R&D for new product/application development and product life‑cycle management.

·        Manage team performance, coaching, and career development in line with HR processes.

·        Role‑model Nouryon’s Safety, Code of Conduct, business principles, and standards internally and externally.

We believe you bring:

 

·         Bachelor or master’s degree in chemistry or Chemical Engineering and / or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.

·        > 10 yrs of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in sales. Career should show progressive growth in sales.

·        Strong Financial and Business Acumen

·        Experience with leading and managing virtual teams.

·        Experience in Personal care and Pharma industry is a strong preference.

·        Knowledge of Value-Added Solution selling is a must.

·        Comfortable working across regional and global cultures.

·        Good communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Knowledge of English is a must

·        Familiar with commercial tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Arkieva, CRM, Power BI ).

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Sales Manager Home and Personal Care, Pharma North East Asia and is based in Shanghai China location
