About the job:

 

The Regional Marketing Manager is responsible for the regional marketing plan for HPC business in Northeast Asia region and ensures alignment between Regional Sales and Global Marketing. This role is responsible for leading marketing initiatives in the region including new product introductions, services, margin management - and promotional initiatives for sales in the allocated Region. Drives the creation of value for the BL.

 

In your future role as a Regional Marketing Manager, you will:

 

  • Define a plan to execute the strategy for product portfolio/segment/market
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competition, dynamics and maintain contacts
  • Co-develop and provide input to pricing guidelines and exception policy
  • Implement regional market communication and branding
  • Identify new customer needs and provide input for new product development
  • Active member of the Global Marketing team supports the Strategic Global Marketing Manager for the relevant segments
  • Developing value propositions/pricing strategies.
  • Develop in-depth understanding and knowledge of the market, industry dynamics and competitive positioning to effectively drive growth.
  • Define, translate the global plan to regional level and execute the regional marketing strategy. Track progress.
  • Develop content for sales tools and presentations that effectively communicate value propositions to customers.
  • Identify and support new market opportunities.
  • Identify innovation opportunities to meet anticipated customer and/or market needs. Provide clear and compelling justification for innovation projects.
  • Execute new product launches.
  • Identify and manage all trade shows, events, seminars, etc. in the region in close collaboration with the Communications team.
  • Conduct Voice of Customer and other market research as warranted.
  • Deliver on customer/market segmentation strategy, value proposition and go-to-market
  • Channel management for a product portfolio/segment/market
  • Implement effective channel to market strategy, ensure product stewardship incl. regulatory activities and eco labels to meet customer needs
  • Manage global/regional product allocation and trade goods
  • Transform insight and opportunities from market, competition and industry trends and detailed understanding of the value chain into concepts to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Maintaining list of competitive alternatives
  • Execute pricing guidelines according to pricing strategy including margin management and
  • competitor pricing analysis and the customer pricing process. Monitor overall
  • pricing activities in the market, including competitors, to enable change recommendations
  • Plan and execute specific regional customer communication material, coordinate and participate in trade shows, exhibitions and industry groups
  • Monitor the customer segmentation and service rules
  • Lead regional marketing projects and contribute to regional projects from other functions
  • Translate ideas into concepts and marketing plans to fulfil new customer needs and give input for new product development and validate value creation at customer
  • Act as role model for corporate values, Nouryon business principles and Business standards both inside and outside the Business Line. Act as a role model and drive safe behavior both individually and for colleagues

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Chemicals or related field
  • Minimum 5 yrs of relevant Marketing experience
  • Experience in the chemicals industry is preferred
  • Fluency in English and Chinese required. Comfortable working across global cultures
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, listening, writing, verbal, influencing, entrepreneurship, result oriented, negotiation, proven problem-solving abilities and strong business acumen
  • Experience in working across NEA region is a plus

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager Home and Personal Care, Pharma Northeast Asia and is based in Shanghai China location
