About the job:

 

The Account Manager is responsible for executing and developing our PF Intermediates sales activities in Japan.
The role works closely with regional and global business teams, as well as relevant functions, to ensure that our delivery meets customer needs.

 

 

In your future role as Account Manager, you will:

 

  • To shoulder the planned/budgeted sales target in Japan together with senior sales manager Japan (60%).
  • To work together with global/regional and cross function team to serve our customer’s needs. (20%).
  • To support functions to improve/develop our logistic capability for CS2 product, which demand very high logistic service level. (10%)
  • To collect market information of Japan. (10%)
  • Conduct and control all elements of basic sales process, such as offers and contracts, incl. their documentation, credit management; solve open points in processing and logistics (50%)
  • Key accounts management (eg. negotiate the price, etc) (20%)
  • Analysis of market development and potentials, propose ideas for improving own market position and exploitation of potential (10%)
  • Contribute to local product management and innovation (10%)
  • Contribute to local marketing strategies (5%)
  •  

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree and chemistry background is highly preferred.
  • 5 years’ commercial experience.
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competition, dynamics and maintain contacts.
  • Identify new customer needs and provide input for new product development.
  • Support the regional head taking ownership of the margin management process and minimum price setting.
  • Know how to manage import/export business and logistics.
  • Be able to travel (up to 70% of travel is required).
  • Setting sales goals.
  • Creating a sales plan and proactively experimenting to improve execution.
  • Monitoring progress in real-time and analyzing data.
  • Keeping an active watch over (and involvement in) key accounts.
  • Fluently in Japanese and English.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to Sales Director Intermediates Asia and is based in Japan Tokyo office.
