About the job 

As the Manager Finance Operations EMEA you will lead and improve Record-to-Report (R2R) processes and drive the regional controllership agenda for EMEA legal entities. You will manage day-to-day finance operations while leading global R2R process improvement workstreams and broader transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. As a core member of the EMEA Finance Operations leadership team, you will work closely with the Regional R2R Team Leader and the Process Improvement Lead to shape how Finance Operations delivers across the region and globally. A key focus will be driving operational excellence and ensuring efficient finance operations under tight deadlines. You will continuously identify and implement process improvements while balancing reliable operational delivery with strategic transformation initiatives.

In your future role as Manager Finance Operations EMEA 

  • Regional Finance Operations – EMEA
    • Support month-end close oversight across EMEA legal entities; review and challenge Flux/Variance Analysis prepared by RTR teams
    • Coordinate statutory and IFRS audit activities for EMEA legal entities in partnership with external auditors, Tax and Legal
    • Support SOX controls implementation and monitoring across EMEA; act as day-to-day liaison with the Global Controls Coordinator for the region
    • Coordinate Internal Audit activities for EMEA— track open findings, drive remediation, and provide status updates to the Regional Director
    • Support regional Finance Operations projects including M&A activities, data retention, and system changes impacting EMEA entities
  • Global RTR Process Improvements
    • Own and lead specific RTR process improvement projects end-to-end — including scoping, stakeholder alignment, implementation and embedding
    • Drive standardization workstreams across regions: Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA) usage, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation (BSAR) quality, and Manual Journal Entry discipline
    • Represent the EMEA region and RTR GPO function in cross-functional governance forums and working groups
    • Support the preparation and delivery of XFB (Cross-Functional Business) meetings and SCOA governance sessions
  • Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the four Regional Finance Operations Directors, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT and External Auditors

 

We believe you bring 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Professional accounting qualification — CPA, ACCA, CA, RA or equivalent
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance Operations, Controllership, RTR or Shared Services — ideally in an international manufacturing or chemicals company
  • Multi-jurisdiction statutory and IFRS accounting knowledge
  • RTR process expertise (month-end close, BSAR, MJE, Flux Analysis)
  • Experience with project management principles
  • Fluency in English, both verbal as well as in writing. Additional European language an advantage

  • A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
  • A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience between EUR 80.000 and EUR 110.000.
