About the job 

As Global HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Segment Leader and senior leadership team, shaping and executing a global people strategy that supports the segment's commercial ambitions and long-term business objectives. In this highly visible role, you will bring a strong understanding of global markets and cross-cultural dynamics, enabling you to drive talent and organizational initiatives across diverse regions. You will play a critical role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent worldwide while fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture that balances local needs with global business priorities. Working closely with Regional HR teams and HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs), you will ensure the effective delivery of people strategies and programs that strengthen organizational capability and business performance.

This is an individual contributor role, influencing people decisions and talent strategies on a global scale, while offering the opportunity to serve as the HR subject matter expert for the region in which you are based.


In your future role as Global HRBP you will

•    Develop and execute a global people strategy that supports the segment's commercial objectives and long-term growth across multiple regions. 
•    Serve as a trusted advisor to the Segment's senior leadership team, providing strategic guidance on talent, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and organizational design. 
•    Lead global HR initiatives, including global mobility, cross-regional talent deployment, and the alignment of regional people strategies to support business priorities. 
•    Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to attract and retain diverse, high-performing talent and ensure a strong succession pipeline across key markets and functions. 
•    Collaborate with Talent Management to design and implement leadership development, succession planning, and capability-building programs tailored to both global priorities and regional needs. 
•    Work with Total Rewards, Regional HR teams, and HR Centres of Expertise (CoEs) to support the development and implementation of competitive compensation, benefits, incentive, and performance management programs that balance global consistency with local market requirements. 
•    Drive employee engagement and retention strategies across multiple regions, adapting approaches to local cultures, employment practices, and business needs. 
•    Champion an inclusive, equitable, and high-performing culture that values diversity, fosters collaboration, and respects cultural differences across the globe. 
•    Lead the people side of change by supporting business expansion, mergers and acquisitions, market shifts, and evolving business models, ensuring the organization remains agile and ready for future growth. 
•    Help leaders and teams successfully navigate organizational change and cultural integration as the business enters new markets or evolves its operating model. 
•    Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations globally by translating global HR policies into locally relevant and compliant practices. 
•    Provide guidance on employee relations, labour matters, corporate governance, and people-related risk management, helping maintain the highest ethical and professional standards worldwide. 
•    Use data-driven insights and partner with Global HR Operations and HRIT to continuously improve HR processes, systems, and decision-making across the organization. 
•    Act as the HR subject matter expert within your region, supporting local leaders while ensuring the successful implementation of global HR initiatives and programs. 
•    Lead by example and role model the Nouryon Leadership Capabilities: Driving Performance, Serving Customers, Thinking Critically, Collaborating Proactively, and Developing People.


We believe you bring

•    A bachelor’s or a master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
•    At least 10 years of progressive HR experience, including a minimum of three years in a global HR Business Partner role, ideally within a multinational (preferably manufacturing) commercial organization. 
•    A strong understanding of HR practices across diverse global markets, with experience supporting or leading HR activities across multiple regions, such as EMEA, APAC, and the Americas. 
•    Sound knowledge of Dutch labour law.
•    Fluency in English and Dutch.
•    Demonstrated experience in influencing senior leadership and driving strategic HR initiatives on a global scale. 
•    A deep understanding of cross-cultural dynamics and a proven ability to develop and implement strategies.
•    Extensive experience in leading organizational transformation and change management initiatives across different countries and regions.
