Belgium’s leading renewable energy producer, Luminus, has advanced its partnership with Nouryon by completing the second phase of an initiative to install a wind turbine and solar farm at Nouryon’s Mons, Belgium, site, located in the Ghlin industrial zone.

Grégoire Dallemagne, CEO of Luminus, stated, "The Nouryon photovoltaic installation and wind turbine align perfectly with our strategy of helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint by producing the required energy themselves. We are proud that the Luminus Group has been able to assist Nouryon in its energy transition."

The project features a 7MWp solar farm and a 4.2MW wind turbine. Nouryon’s site will consume more than 60% of the renewable energy output, with the surplus fed into the local energy grid. This effort supports the energy transition and contributes to Nouryon's broader sustainability goals.

"At Nouryon, we are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions across our value chain,” said Eduardo Nardinelli, senior vice president, South America and global carbon business strategy. “To support this journey, we developed a roadmap with concrete action steps. This renewable energy project in Mons reflects our dedication to expanding our use of renewable energy through onsite initiatives. This progress enables us to grow with our customers while operating responsibly and efficiently." Nardinelli added that Nouryon’s long-term carbon management strategy aims to transition global manufacturing sites to renewable and low-carbon energy sources.
