Mastering the chemistry of the golf ball
Golf ball manufacturers count on Nouryon to improve overall performance of the game.
“Many think a ball is just a ball,” says Mike Cubera, Commercial Manager at Nouryon. “Most are white, roughly the same size, covered with dimples, and stamped with a brand name. But, most golf balls blend chemical engineering and modern manufacturing methods to produce a high-quality, high-performance product.”
He adds: “We have mastered the chemistry of the golf ball. If the core were too hard, it would be like trying to tee up a rock. With the right parameters in the core, manufacturers can help increase resiliency and maximize the distance and speed the ball will travel.”
